PMG Signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

Peace Myanmar Group strongly believes in doing right by our stakeholders, and we are always on the lookout for best practices for corporate sustainability. For this reason, we have been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 8 March 2016. We believe that using a principles-based approach to corporate governance and doing business helps the long-term health of the company.

We have made continuous efforts to follow the following statement on the UNGC website: “By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into strategies, policies and procedures, and establishing a culture of integrity, companies are not only upholding their basic responsibilities to people and planet, but also setting the stage for long-term success.”

Having these principles help the company leadership and employee align on our values in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. We continue to make improvements as much as possible in practice.
